What is Permaculture Design?
Permaculture is a design system for sustainable human settlements that is based on traditional indigenous farming methods, modern science including organic growing methods, and natural ecosystems.
The structure of a natural forest can be replicated, but using species of plants that are all useful to us or beneficial to each other. The ethics of permaculture are care for the earth, care for people, and share the abundance. Permaculture arranges things in the landscape according to frequency of use, so our herb garden that sees daily use is as close as possible to the kitchen door while still in a place that gets enough sun, our long term seldom harvested crops can be farther away. Permaculture has many 'principles' such as, "Work where it counts" or doing the least work for the greatest outcome. There is so much more but this hopefully gives you the idea.

Form with Function, Beauty and Productivity
Grow your own food the easier way, with low maintenance, long lived, locally adapted plants in a well planned design.
Permaculture design principles keep gardens efficient and manageable by placing elements where they interact beneficially with each other! When a landscape is planned to be multi-functional and beautiful from the beginning, the end result is a pleasure to live in. Perennial edible plants are the main ingredient in our designs but we can always find a place for colorful ornamentals, fragrant flowers, medicinals, and native Hawaiian plants. Imagine taking a few steps out of your kitchen door and being able to pick all the organic fresh greens and herbs you need for a meal in just moments... yes it can be this easy.
We design practical and beautiful home environments that produce delicious organic food in a sustainable manner.
